Welcome to our quiet home on beautiful Smith Lake! It is designed as a special retreat to refresh your spirit and give you a time to reunite with loved ones. At Blessings you can get a good night's sleep in comfortable beds for 12.
Enjoy the beautiful, tranquil view of the lake with the backdrop of the Bankhead National Forest in the mornings for a quiet time to start your day. Then invite the family to gather together each evening for the amazing sunsets followed by a look at the stars and marshmallows roasted on the fire pit.

There is a double decker aluminum boat dock in year-round water, with a diving board on the top deck, a swim dock, a kayak, a paddle board, and 3 jetski ports. The owner keeps their personal boat in the boat slip, but there is room to tie your boat to the dock. There are four lounge chairs up top and a table and one chair downstairs. There are also a couple of foldable low to the ground loungers in the storage box downstairs. (We do request that wave boats stay close to the middle of the channel to prevent shoreline erosion issues.)

Our upstairs kitchen is designed to accommodate those who love to cook or those who like to microwave. Downstairs we have an entertainment area that includes a kitchenette with a Keurig, a microwave, and a drink-fridge. (We do recycle and offer a Recycle can next to the shed for aluminum cans.)
Parents will be pleased to find a variety of games, puzzles and a library of family videos to entertain kids in the evening or the occasional rainy day, and perfect for any friendly family rivalry; we have the ubiquitous "corn hole game."
We all need a place to refresh our heart & soul, we invite you to come to the serene setting at Smith Lake in Houston AL. to Blessings Family Lodge & Retreat. (Note that this is a family neighborhood and we ask you to keep your music volume at a level that will not disturb the neighbors.)
MUST BE 25 YEARS OF AGE TO RENT.
RESERVATIONS ARE NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL GUEST SIGNS THE RENTAL AGREEMENT TO SMITH LAKE RENTALS. NO after-prom, graduation, frat, wedding, etc parties. Any gathering larger than the Max occupancy has to be preapproved. Violation will result in eviction.

This house was beautiful and perfect for our three family vacation. The back deck was perfect for game nights and the dock was exactly what we needed. The little kids loved jumping off the bottom dock and swimming, the teenagers enjoying jumping off the top dock and swimming. The grownups enjoyed the kayaks, fishing, and floating. 10/10 recommend!

We thoroughly enjoyed the covered back deck and views of the lake. Kids had a blast on the rented jet skis and jumping off the high diving board on the dock.<br/>The kitchen was well stocked.<br/>The downstairs could have been a little cleaner, but it did not affect our overall time of enjoying the lake.

The house is perfect for 2 families. Love how the kids have their own downstairs little haven. The boat house is perfect and we love being on the quiet end of the lake. It’s so peaceful and perfect for relaxing 😎. We hope to make this an annual event and love Blessings Family Lodge!

We stayed her with family to celebrate a 50th anniversary with 4 generations of family. It was completely relaxing and the lake is all you need for entertainment. The upper deck of the house with the barstools looking out to the lake was exceptionally nice. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and extras we forgot to pack such as spices, coffee filters, aluminum foils and such. We will absolutely try to return.

Excellent property, incredible location. We had two families and three six year olds, and everyone had an amazing relaxing vacation. Would definitely book this house again and if it were for sale would be first in line to purchase.

An amazing stay at Smith Lake! The house had everything we (8 adults 5 kids) needed and more. Breathtaking views from the deck and dock. We saw over 12 shooting stars one night! Boat traffic was a little high and the dock rocking takes a little getting use to, but worth it. Water was amazing to get into. Available kayak and paddle board was a plus.
