Welcome to "Sunset Rock," a stunning vacation rental that boasts breathtaking sunset views and an array of amenities to make your stay truly memorable. With 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, this beautiful house can comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests in beds, with a maximum occupancy of 12. The main level features 3 bedrooms, each with a comfortable queen or king-sized bed, while the basement has an additional sleeping area with 2 queen-sized beds, and a ping pong table for indoor activities. The dining room seats 10-12 with 2 more at the bar, offering ample space for meals with friends and family. Step outside onto the spacious deck and take in the impressive big water views of gorgeous Lewis Smith Lake. Relax on the top deck or the lower covered deck, or take a dip in the water with the provided kayaks and lily pad. On cool evenings, gather around the small outdoor fire pit for a cozy and memorable experience. The dock has one boat slip, measuring 12x27', which is available for the renters' use. There are also 2 kayaks and a lily pad flotation mat for guests to enjoy. Please note that there are approximately 67 steps to the dock. Conveniently located near Rock Creek Marina and Cullman (30 minutes), there is plenty to explore in the area. With room to park 4 cars and 1 boat trailer, you can easily bring your own watercraft and explore the lake at your leisure. The expansive deck (upper and lower) overlooking the water provides the perfect setting to enjoy the stunning sunset views, and there is a gas grill for the renter's use, as well as a 28-inch gas griddle, perfect for cooking up delicious meals during your stay. Sunset rock was a beautiful location. Plenty of room. Had everything that you need there. More emphasis needs to be put on the climb up and down to the dock. We almost brought my older parents and they would have struggled. Also the steps and deck around the house are old and have several really bad weak places. Very unsafe. We actually fell through one of the lower steps on the walk down to the dock. Also if you go in armed months, the afternoon sun gets the inside temp into the mid 80s even with the AC on full blast and portable units going. It would not cool off until an hour often sunset. We absolutely loved everything else though. If you are careful, the steps can be used without problems. The place is older and dated but it’s still very nice.
Thank you for your helpful feedback. We were unaware of any issues with the dock boards, and they are being addressed immediately. We also will have the HVAC serviced as we were unaware that there were any issues with the cooling of the house. Good place to stay
The house was great, such beautiful views! The only issue we had at all was the air, it would default to high70s or 80s. Place was absolutely beautiful, stairs to dock a bit much, but that was expected for Smith Lake. Would definitely recommend staying here, Much better than we expected. Amazing time!

Crane hill house
Would have enjoyed it much more if there hadn’t been roaches and ants all in the house. Had to call exterminator to come. Loved the dock with the lily pad!
Sunset rock House
This place had an amazing view house was very spacious very private location and the boat launch was just around the corner. The covered boat dock was great to keep our boat out of the weather. We definitely plan on going back to this location in the future.
Great little spot for the family and friends. The space was great.
Perfect remote getaway
Layout of the house is perfect to separate kids from adults. Setup and views from the house are amazing. They also made sure you have everything even if you forgot something.
The house was beautiful and clean. Our family had a wonderful weekend together. The steps to the dock were a little steep but we were made aware of this before renting. Will definitely be back again.
