Memorial Weekend
The internet was not good and inaccurately described on the listing. Inside was clean but not freshly cleaned. Outside porch was not clean and the view was obstructed by overgrown limbs - personal opinion. HVAC was great. There were no instructions on how to turn power on to the dock. Kitchen was out dated. We made the best of it.
Lake Vacation
Property was clean inside with exception of ants in the kitchen. Outside of property needs to be cleaned. Property needs to sprayed for ants as several of the our cars were invaded by ants. No lighting on stairs coming off deck to boat dock. View of lake was obstructed by tree limbs.. Stairs coming off parking area to front door were steep. When host says to drop your boat in the water before coming to the property she is correct. Also, you will need to make arrangements to park your boat trailer off property.
Thank you for reviewing the property at Sunset Cove. Ants are common on the lake this time of year, and there was no need to wait until you departed to contact us about that. We have already put in a service request with our pest control service. As for tree's blocking the lake view, there are three decks on the back of the house and only one is partially blocked by trees. Most guests appreciate the shade provided. The house faces the setting sun, so at this time of year, the deck is naturally lit until 9:30 or so. That said, we'll talk to the owners about adding some additional lighting, but we prefer guests to keep the exterior noise limited after 10pm. The rise over run rate of the front steps are not out of the ordinary, and you are correct, there is no place to launch a boat at the property, just as you were informed.
