Welcome to "LAKE THERAPY" on beautiful Lewis Smith Lake! 2026 Peak Season (May - September): 7 night stays only, SUNDAY to SUNDAY. Must check-in and check-out on Sunday. This property is NOT Pet-Friendly. Enjoy your home away from home in this 5500 sq. ft. , 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath. Sleeps 16. There are two 55" Smart TVs, plus a new 75 " Smart TV with Roku. , 2 kitchens, and also a game room with pool table, ping pong table, foosball table and cornhole game. New additions to the game room are Air Hockey table, plus a Ms. PacMan cocktail table game and 150 arcade classes games. Granite countertops in the both upstairs and downstairs kitchens with everything you need to prepare meals, including an air fryer, Keurig K -Cafe Coffee, Latte and Cappuccino maker and plenty of counter top space! The downstairs bathroom has new marble countertop and new faucets and bowls. Tempur-pedic bedding in Master bedroom. Other fun amenities include 2 kayaks, and a paddle board for the renter's use. Recent improvements include a completely remodeled master bath, glass enclosed marble shower with rain head shower and soaking tub! Also, upstairs remodeled walk-in marble shower with glass enclosure!" WiFi Internet and Charter cable television. There are multiple charging bases throughout the house for your electronic devices. Beautiful flat yard provides an easy walk down to the dock. Gorgeous lake views can be enjoyed on 2 patios and 2 gazebos. The gazebo even extends out in the lake for relaxing on the water! There is a fire pit on the patio at the lakes edge, for cool nights. Gas Blackstone grill on deck and charcoal grill in gazebo. There is also a new Blackstone Griddle on the upper deck and a new beverage cooler in the downstairs kitchen. Location, Location, Location! Conveniently located 15 minutes from Cullman off I 65 exit 305. Across the water from Smith Lake Park, just a half mile off of CR222! Less than one hour from Birmingham or Huntsville, or two hours from Nashville! Gently sloping lot with no steps to the water with one open boat slip for your convenience! There are also 2 Wave Runner slips available for the renter's use. No power on the dock. Water level on the lake begins lowering around July 4, however this property has a "chase the water" system, so you should always be able to get to your boat. We were in Cullman for a wedding and this house gave us a wonderful family retreat between the festivities. Lots of space and plenty of beds for all. The kids enjoyed finding a cabinet with some fun toys in it. Nice shampoos and soaps provided and plenty of towels.
Beautiful house and yard! Great for a nice relaxing weekend. Ton of spots insight and outside to hangout. The outdoor fire pit and black stone grill were huge pluses.
Great Visit to Lake Therapy
The property was as advertised online. The house was beautiful with a scenic view of Smith Lake. The boathouse, dock, and sitting area were very comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen and breakfast nook area had gorgeous views. The driveway could be a challenge for individuals pulling trailers but there was plenty of parking. A great visit that we would do again.
Beautiful home with amazing views
We booked Lake Therapy for a week with my parents, my siblings and their spouses and children. We drove from central Minnesota for my nephew’s wedding on Dec. 30, 2022. The home was beautiful, clean, and had plenty of amenities! The only thing we noticed that could use some attention was the cobwebs on the ceilings, but I know those can pop up pretty quickly. We would have liked more kitchen linens and extra sheets would have been nice as we had one of our little kids get sick in our bed at midnight one night and we had to wash the sheets immediately. We loved using the kayak and paddle board and could have used an extra set because everyone wanted to use them. The weather was in the 60s and even the low 70s while we were there and it was so nice to have things to do outside! We were able to escape the cold, snowy Minnesota weather and we were wearing shorts and T-shirts! Overall the home was perfect for us, the weather was great, and we all had a fantastic time! We didn’t want to leave. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
Amazing Lake Vacation Home
We stayed at Lake Therapy for a family vacation - 7 adults and 6 kids. Enough beds for everyone, space for everyone to relax and play, access to the lake was exceptional. The dock and patio on the water were PERFECT for enjoying the sunshine and lake views, especially for our large group. Bonus that the house had a lilypad and kayak for use as well, gave the kids more to do without us having to haul large items down. The kitchen was great, house was beautiful and clean. And extra points for the bedding - sheets were lovely and soft! Would highly recommend, and we will be back to enjoy Smith Lake again!
Nice big house, most convenient location on Smith Lake
We got back from a great stay at Lake Therapy on Smith Lake. The location cannot be beat: as close as you can be to the amenities that Cullman has to offer while still being on the lake, and less than 5 minutes from nearby marinas, boat rentals (check out Cappy's), and a gas/convenience/bait shop (Whitlock's). The kitchen is huge with gorgeous views of the lake - great place to gather and our family spent a lot of time there. The dock (with extra slip for our rental boat) and gazebo on the water were big highlights as well. Only negatives to report were that the indoor games on the lower floor weren't usable: pinball machine was broken and pool table had no pool cues to play with. Fortunately, we didn't have any rainy days so that was a non-issue. We'd also recommend caution with kids playing on the lilly pad if the lake is low (as it was for our Aug. 2021 visit in preparation for dam work later this year) - the pad is near rocks and the water depth was only a few feet on that side (and only about 6-7 feet straight off the dock) so it was off limits to our children. Not something the owner can control but something to watch out for! Otherwise, we had a really nice stay and plenty of room for our family gathering - would definitely recommend.
Annual lake trip with family
Awesome. Plenty of room for all the family but had to go a hour to rent the more powerful pontoon.
Thanks for the 5 star review. We can control the house, we can't control the size of motors on the pontoons. For those also renting boats (which we do not manage) we always recommend finding the boat you want maybe even before finding the property you want to rent. There are a lot more houses for rent than there are boats to rent. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the house and please do come back
Lakeside Fun
This property is fantastic! A great place to relax and play. The description was right on target and was great for all ages. We'll be back during the summer season when we can enjoy the lake.
