Description
"Kelley's Southern Comfort" - Scenic lot located on a point of Smith Lake - with beautiful long range views. The lakeside of the house faces the south, with east to west sun exposure - providing breathtaking sunsets! Also seen from the point are views of Duncan Bridge and Clear Creek. This house is located minutes from the town of Arley and is in sight of Duncan Bridge Marina. Gorgeous cottage with covered porches across the front and back of the house! The screened porch facing the lake, spans the length of the house and is perfect for watching the sunset. There is a spacious flat lawn leading down to the dock, with a fire pit for your enjoyment. The gas log fireplace (inside) is available for Winter rentals during the cooler months. There is a boat launch on the property. The dock includes a covered boat slip with additional places to tie off, and a swim pier. Lily pad, cornhole and Giant Jenga for entertainment. There is no power to the dock. The water level at the dock is good until 498 msl (full pool is 510 msl). The boat ramp on the property is good to 500 msl. Check for water levels. There are two flat screen TV's on the property, one in the living room, one in the family room. Both televisions have DIRECT TV satellite service. The house has WIFI internet service. Fully stocked kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker and traditional drip style coffee maker. Bedroom #1: King size bed - master - on the main level Bedroom #2: King size bed - upper level Bedroom #3: King size bed - upper level Additional sleeping on fold out sofa. Max Occupancy: 8 RESERVATIONS ARE NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL YOU RETURN THE RENTAL AGREEMENT TO SMITH LAKE RENTALS. NO after-prom, graduation, frat, wedding, etc parties. Any gathering larger than the Max occupancy has to be preapproved. Violation will result in eviction. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE PRIMARY RENTER MUST MEET THE AGE REQUIREMENT OF 25 YEARS OF AGE.

Perfect Location
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental is in a perfect location on Smith Lake. The outdoor space is amazing as well. The house could use some updates but overall was in great condition and very clean. Management company was easy to work with and responsive.

Really loved the location and the view was beautiful! Our only issue was that we couldn’t get the WiFi to work. Otherwise it was perfect for what we needed. Beautiful property.

The location was great, very beautiful. The house was the perfect distance from the water and with a boat launch included it was awesome location on the Lake. Upon entering the home there was a strong musky somewhat smokey odor present, we fixed this by adding some Glade air fresheners around the home, & probably just got used to it. The house was adequately clean, could have been cleaner (floors had crumbs, bathroom tub was stopped up with hair which I feel like would be noticed by cleaning staff had they cleaned it properly… but,I am extremely OCD and type A, so take that as you will). The bridge to the dock was a bit unstable and came apart after a strong wave. The rental folks sent someone out who fixed it enough for us to use it the second day. It did loosen up a bit after a storm came thru, which I let them know about because it def needs some work to remain safe & usable. Overall, I’d give this property a 3.75/5; Could use some updates/cleaning, nice home, beautiful location.
Kelley's is an older home and when the AC is not turned on it will get a musty smell. Once the AC is on and air is circulating the air is freshened. The house is priced based on the current status of the house which does need updates but everything is operating properly. If you are OCD I would recommend one of the new properties on the program as there is always something especially on the older homes. Sorry about the dock....we were glad we were able to get it usable. We are working on getting it back 100% now.
Buff's stay
The house was very clean, and it was nice that the AC air was turned on for us when we arrived being its so hot outside, the only thing I would recommend is putting a matt in the bath tub downstairs it gets very slippery taking a shower, we would definitely rent this house again, it was great having a personal boat launch as well, and the screened in porch was nice to sit and have coffee in the mornings 🙂 and the view is awesome!Our family had a lot of fun!
The worst VRBO ever. We walked in, stayed 5 minutes and left the place. Not going to stay there
The land is beautiful. The exterior of the house is old, tired and green slimed. The front porch furniture is broken and you can't sit. You walk in and the musty smell hits. Inside is very dark unlike pictures. So of course you to blinds to open to give you light and the blind falls on your head. The pictures show brown leather couches. What is there is some sofas covered under chocolate colored blankets. I dared not look underneath. The pictures show the back of a red leather chair. that was the final straw. When you walked to front of chair, someone had sat in it so long, there was a huge black head stain - disgusting and several other body stains on the chair. At that point, we turned around and walked out of this house. All den furniture as shown in pictures is totally misleading and what is there is beyond gross. You couldn't pay me to sit on any of it. AN EXTREMELY ANGRY FAMILY who let immediately and no one has offered to refund us a dime. Don't get us wrong - this could be a beautiful place but the furniture is simply disgusting. The Drews.
Wonderful view from a flat lot
After seeing all the steps between houses and the lake, we appreciated the soft slope of this yard so much more! The view is lovely, it’s just down from the bridge and marina to be convenient, but far enough away to not be bothered by any traffic. The National Forest is directly across from this home, so beautiful, undeveloped areas to enjoy. The house was clean, and had most anything you need - a little shy on pots and mixing bowls but the knives were sharp! We would definitely stay here again
Great location on the point
We had a great time at this property! It is a bit dated, but an excellent location on the lake with no stairs. Would definitely recommend!
