*This property is Pet-Friendly, with approval, and payment of pet fee ($25/night/pet). Limit to 2 dogs. No cats or other pets.* Extraordinary ~5680 sq ft. 7BR Lake House that sleeps up to 20. Gentle slope to water! Large great room with 30 foot, tongue-in-grove ceiling with antler chandelier, kids loft area, and double-sided, wood burning, stone fireplace. Separate balconies overlooking the Lake for 3 of the bedrooms, one balcony with two seat swing off the kitchen and dining room. Very nice kitchen (gourmet) and dining with round table seating 8 and bars (2) seating another 6. The downstairs also has a kitchen , pool table, foosball table, shuffleboard, and separate stereo with Bose 901 speakers, and a second set of washer/dryer. Large flat-screen TVs in basement and in main level great room. 4 bedrooms upstairs, each two share a full bath and shower. Outside you have a very large backyard for football and other activities, as well as a boat house for enjoying the water. Boat house has a swim platform and a ladder. One boat slip is available for renter's use and 2 jet ski ports are in the other slip and available for use. A boat can be tied up to the side of the dock. Slip is 10 x 26 feet. Yearround water at the dock. If water is over 510 MSL the walkway will be under water. 510 is summer pool. check water levels at No More Than 20 people in house at Once; No More than 5-6 Cars at Once. Gas grill, connected to house propane. Also, charcoal grill available for use (bring your own charcoal). Fire Pit seen in video is no longer functional. Great for water fun
Nice house. Lots of room. Clean. Secluded feel to its location. Great water front for viewing the lake, swimming and boating. Family get-together that everyone enjoyed. House did have a few maintenance issues like no hot water in the master shower and no power down at the dock area but issues were fairly minor.
Loved it, but Too short
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. This transaction was very smooth. The house was big and spacious. There was plenty of space for our family. We LOVED the lake. We only wish that we had more time. We were only there to attend a wedding that Saturday. Andrea was Wonderful. Thank You so much for all of your help.
Very nice house. It needs a lot of work.
House had not been cleaned when we arrived after 3:00pm. Dirty sheets on bed. Beds unmade. Floors dirty, had not been vacuumed. This just set a bad impression and tone for the stay. There is a leak under the kitchen sink. We had to clean oven before using. Ceiling fan and light broken in down stairs bedroom. Just needs a lot of work.
Somehow this cleaning did not get communicated properly to cleaning staff. We had cleaners out within the hour. The fan had a broken blade and we were in the process of finding a replacement. This review is the first we have heard about the sink. Will get it fixed.
Beautiful and spacious
We enjoyed our time staying at the Spring Lake Cottage on Smith Lake. Our family was able to gather from all around the south, and the location was ideal with beautiful views and a wonderful amount of space for us all to spread out and enjoy time together. The bedrooms are nice -- the four on the top floor have full sized beds and are connected with Jack and Jill bathrooms. The main floor has the master suite with a king bed and beautiful bathroom. Downstairs has a bunk bed and another room with two full sized beds. I believe that there are also some additional mattresses that you could put on the floor in different rooms if you are coming with 20 people. The windows have beautiful lake views. There aren't curtains on the windows in some of the rooms, so you might want to bring an eye mask or enjoy the natural wake up. The only appliance in the basement kitchen that works is the refrigerator, but it was great to have two refrigerators for all of our food! The basement is a lot of fun with a pool table, darts and comfy couch recliners for a little TV watching. We also really enjoyed building a fire (you should definitely bring wood if you're coming in the chilly months!). We loved the hammock and walking by the water. It was a very comfortable house, and we enjoyed our stay.
Amazing Home with Incredible location
We stayed in this home for a week with my extended family. Everyone loved it! The house was amazing! It was immaculate & wonderfully decorated. Better than the photos!! The location is spectacular. The home sits on the point of the lake so very secluded & private. I would HIGHLY recommend this home for your next vacation or event.
Family Reunion
We had a great time. We could not have asked for better weather all weekend. The house is exactly like in the pictures. There was plenty of room and more for our 12 adults and 7 children, ages 18 months to 68 years old. The yard to perfect for the children to play. The decks and outside steps are great for lake watching. The 2 upstairs bedrooms have their own balcony and waking up to the view of the lake was wonderful. We will be back next year.
