"Clear Creek Escape" - Just what you're looking for to get away from it all! Private cozy house nestled in the trees! PRIVACY AND SECLUDED LOT! It is like your own personal cove. This is one of the most beautiful spots we offer on the Smith Lake. NEW Driveway recently upgraded! Four bedrooms and two bathrooms, with an outdoor entertainment building for gathering together. There are three refrigerators for your convenience and storage needs. Four new televisions (32 inch upstairs in childrens' sleeping area, 40 in. on the main level, 55 inch in the lower den, 55 in. in the outdoor entertainment building). Gas grill. This house is located on a beautiful 3 acre private lot which backs up to natural forest and Clear Creek Recreation area. Gorgeous aluminum double decker dock, swim dock and fishing pier. Easy walk to the dock with zero steps. One slip available for renter's use. Size of slip: 9' x 24' with an 8' ceiling. Power on dock. Paddle boat for the renters use as well as a corn hole game for the yard. Lakeside firepit with provided firewood. Bedroom #1: Queen size bed- main level Bedroom #2: Queen size bed - main level Bedroom #3: King size bed - main level Bedroom #4: Queen size bed and Full size bed - second floor Sleeps 10 in beds. Maximum occupancy : 12 WiFi internet and Direct TV. This property has ATT Cellular internet service. It is 40 mgb download speed and very slow upload speed. Boat launch located conveniently less than 5 minutes from the house, in Clear Creek Recreation area. There is a place to buy Ice where you put your boat in, less than 5 miles from the house. The house borders Clear Creek Recreation area, which is great for hiking and sight seeing. We accept three (3) night reservations for the Peak season, with the exception of 4th of July week - 4th of July week has a 5 night minimum - OFF-SEASON (Labor Day-Memorial Day): 2 night min. (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas) PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THE PRIMARY RENTER MUST MEET THE AGE REQUIREMENT OF 25 YEARS OF AGE.

Clear Creek Escape is in a quiet peaceful location. No road or boat noise. Hardly any boat traffic except for an occasional fishing boat. The house is just ok and is in need of some routine maintenance and care, ie. air filters for ac, a chair was broken with the pieces on top of the cabinets, broken picture frame. None of it was a huge deal but it needs some TLC. The stove top is a nice induction cooktop which works great if your pots and pans have completely flat bottoms. This was a challenge as most pots and pans were heavily used and most slightly warped which made them hard to use on that type of cooktop. This was disclosed ahead of time but the driveway to the house is in really bad shape (washed out). I would not want to try going down the drive in anything less than a truck or high SUV. I was not able to take the boat or boat trailer to the house and ended up leaving it a half mile away on the side of the main gravel road to the house. For what we spent I would not stay again.

The house as well as the outdoor kitchen needs lots of repairs. Air conditioning is much needed for the outdoor building. The road going down is pretty rough.
This is a lovely lake house. We really enjoyed how comfortable it was inside. The kitchen had everything you could need. The dock was perfect. We spent most of our time floating in the lake. The WiFi doesn’t really work and it is very difficult to get a cell signal in the house. We had to make calls outside. It wasn’t a big deal but if the wifi had worked it would have helped. It was a girls weekend away and people just wanted to be able to checkin at home. The refrigerator went out and they replaced it the next daywhich was amazing. Luckily we were able to use the other refrigerators in the building by the grill. A cabinet had to be removed for the new fridge and the workers left quite a mess for us to clean up. The hot water also went out the night before we left but we didn’t call about it cause it was late. All in all it is a nice house with a beautiful view. Lovely quiet spot

Smith Lake rentals was very helpful and responsive about our stay, would highly recommend them over a third party. The property is down a very steep and badly maintained road with deep holes and wash outs. I would recommend a 4 wheel drive or lifted vehicle. It was pretty alarming and I was worried we couldn’t get back out. I think the listing should mention this so renters can prepare accordingly.
This place is very beautiful and peaceful. We had 8 adults, 4 children and a baby and never felt on top of each other. There was a half bath in the extra building that was nice to have for such a large gathering. The fire pit was a great evening hang out and you could see SO MANY STARS! The boat dock was the popular spot for swimming. I do recommend carrying a broom with you when you go that way at least once a day due to the spiderweb build up that happens overnight but it isn’t hard to do!

Great time on the lake
Very nice place on a quite cove of the lake. Nice double decker dock. Everything was clean and well decorated. WIFi didn't work while we were there but we didnt care. Never turned on a TV or needed the WIFI the whole stay. We were out by the water or on our boat the whole time.
