We rented this home for our family's Thanksgiving 2023. It was more than we imagined and more than advertised. The home is so well maintained, clean, and very comfortable. It is set up to accommodate large groups and allows everyone to maintain privacy. It has lots of common areas for socializing. This area of Smith Lake, where the house resides, is so very beautiful. The yard is very nice, clean, and safe. The outdoor areas are pristine and accommodating. The home has two large kitchens, two large living rooms, other common areas to gather with awesome bedrooms that all appear to be master bedrooms. I would highly recommend this home to anyone.
Great place
Everything was great. There could have been more towels and washcloths. there were no bath mats in any of the bathrooms. There also was not a fire pit. Other than these 3 things it was great.

We were last minute looking for a place to grieve the loss of our dear mom/nana. This place was available. It was nice, large enough and a definite blessing. The fact that it was still available last minute is likely because it’s a fairly remote location and is not as nice as many others at the same price point. Almost zero amenities. really just bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms and outside seating with water access. Most places at this price point will have a game room with pool table, a fire pit, nice grill, kayaks/paddle boards, etc. this one only had a ping pong table and old charcoal grill. like I said, it was a great last minute find and a blessing for sure. But for the same money, there are much nicer spots with more amenities and better location if you can plan ahead. Oh, one more thing to note, the customer service was great. We had a breaker trip in the kitchen and someone was there to access the panel for us very quickly after calling the help number. …just thought of one other thing. Some local dog likes to knock the trash cans over at night and get into the trash. So beware, there’s a daily effort of cleaning up strewn garbage. 🙁 All in all, we would recommend this place, hence the 5 stars. Just being open about a few of our observations.

Beautiful lake house
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The views of the lake were breathtaking. It is far from any convenience store, so I strongly suggest you have everything you need upon arrival. The closest Walmart is closer to Birmingham, and the closest Dollar General is about 30 mins away. However, if you have everything you need, you will have an amazing time. This was by far the best stocked-up kitchen I have ever seen. Plenty of cooking wear, cutlery, plates, etc. I would suggest bringing a broom or Swiffer to be able to clean up, as there was none on the property, we had to purchase one.
Thanks for your 5 star review. The "Country Mall" is about 10 mins away and carries most all of the essentials. Closest grocery is Dodge City (20 mins). We will check on the broom and swifter/mop as do an annual check to ensure these are available. Let us know if you want us to reimburse you for the broom purchase. Spacious stay at Smith lake
Great place to stay. Property is for sale and had several showings during our stay. Owners were great at giving notice before showing.
Nice home. Should include in description that basement living is off limits/not in rental agreement.
Overall nice and spacious. There was trash out side and on dock. Water and soda bottles, fishing poles, empty bait container etc. One door to the porch would not open and another door handle was in need of replacement. Would be an awesome house with a little TLC.
